Reg fought in Papua New Guinea in WW2 but now gets all his victories from the Lord…
During the World War Two, Reg served in the 2nd 27th Battalion in Papua New Guinea. He found himself in a situation where he put one leg down deep into a foxhole.
Quite some time after he came back home from PNG, he had a lot of trouble with his back. He was often absent from work for days at a time because of the pain.
He even tried wearing a back brace to help him. At first the problem wasn’t there all the time but then it became really bad. Sometimes the pain was so bad that he needed help to perform simple things such as take his shoes off after riding his bicycle home. Visits to the chiropractor only fixed it for a short time.
Doctors linked Reg’s problem to the fall he’d had in PNG when his leg went down into the foxhole. They suggested that he have an operation to fix the problem, but advised that the operation might not end up helping him.
However, in the meantime Reg heard about the Lord, was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit. From that time, he has never again had that type of back pain.
